About the role
This is a 13-Month FTC, with the potential for the role to become permanent, overseeing the claims team while managing your own cases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing case strategies in collaboration with external legal teams, experts, and internal stakeholders
- Assessing risk exposure and advising on legal liabilities
- Providing legal support on litigation matters, attending court hearings, and representing the organisation in negotiations, settlements, and trials
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, maintaining detailed case files, and reporting to senior management
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and case handling
You will be pivotal in safeguarding the organisation’s interests and contributing to strategic legal decision-making, all while enjoying a supportive and professional environment that encourages growth.
The ideal candidate
- A qualified Solicitor or legal professional with over 6 years' experience in defendant litigation, particularly in EL/PL claims
- Proven ability to develop proactive legal strategies aligned with business objectives
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to negotiate effectively at all levels
- Experience in managing or overseeing a team is desirable but not essential
