In-house Patent Information Coordinator

Sought is a dynamic Patent Information Coordinator to join a sizeable and collegiate patents team. This expansion role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst with a strong background in patent formalities to contribute to the efficient management and coordination of patent information within a hugely impressive and long established global business.

Your Experience 

  • Experience in using Windows programmes including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Proven track record managing at least one patent database, preferably Anaqua
  • Experience in patent prosecution and patent information management
  • Higher education degree or 5+ years of relevant patent experience
  • CIPA Certification preferred but not essential 

Day to Day

  • Understanding all patent information created and managed by the patents team, and advising on storage solutions
  • Coordinating team members on patent information storage, including preparing guidelines and providing training
  • Creating audit mechanisms to ensure data integrity
  • Managing and maintaining accuracy of patent information in Anaqua, including opening, updating, and closing records
  • Generating reports on patent filings, conflicts, and budgets from Anaqua
  • Proposing and managing system enhancements to meet the team’s needs
  • Liaising with external patent counsel and service providers to instruct work using patent information
