Inquests Associate / Senior Associate Solicitor

Inquests Solicitor | Growing Specialist Healthcare Law Team | Liverpool

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate with healthcare inquest experience to join a well-established and expanding team based in Liverpool, advising NHS and independent healthcare organisations.

Working alongside experienced specialists, you'll handle a varied caseload including advocacy, complex advisory work, and regulatory matters across the health and social care sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent clients at inquests (with and without a jury), including advocacy.
  • Manage Court of Protection, treatment and best interests matters.
  • Advise on public law, governance, judicial review and human rights issues.
  • Provide guidance on patient complaints, investigations, mental health law, information governance and wider healthcare regulation.
  • Support business development and contribute to the growth of the healthcare practice.

 

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 3+ years PQE
  • Strong experience managing healthcare inquests, including advocacy.
  • Previous healthcare law experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and client care skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative and able to manage a varied workload.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Desirable experience:

  • Court of Protection and inherent jurisdiction work.
  • Knowledge of legal issues affecting the health and social care sector.
