IP Administrator - Cambridge - FTC

|IP Administrator |12-Month FTC| Cambridge|Hybrid Working|

 

This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded specialist IP practice in Cambridge on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting a busy team with the administration and progression of patent matters.

Working alongside experienced IP professionals, you’ll play an important role in ensuring cases are accurately maintained, deadlines are met and clients receive a responsive and efficient service.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming correspondence and ensuring case information is accurately updated on the firm’s systems.
  • Preparing and issuing documents to clients and relevant third parties.
  • Maintaining electronic files and ensuring documentation is stored correctly.
  • Keeping track of important deadlines, reminders and outstanding actions.
  • Communicating with clients, overseas representatives and other external contacts to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Supporting the processing of fees and associated charges.
  • Carrying out searches of relevant external databases and information sources.
  • Assisting with the creation and maintenance of new IP matters.
  • Supporting the filing and prosecution of intellectual property applications, including liaising with overseas attorneys where required.
  • Ensuring post-filing requirements are completed and relevant documentation is obtained and processed.
  • Working within established quality, compliance and procedural requirements.

About You

You’ll have previous experience working within the intellectual property space. Whilst the CIPA qualification would be advantageous this is not an essential requirement.

IT savvy, you’ll be confident using Microsoft Office and Outlook, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with electronic document/ case management systems.

You’ll also bring:
