Leeds | Hybrid working | Established market
Sacco Mann is a leading legal and IP recruitment specialist. We have been operating in the sector for 30 years, have a long-established and prestigious client base, and have built a reputation for knowing our markets and doing recruitment properly.
We are now looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our Private Practice team in Leeds.
This is a genuinely strong opportunity for a recruiter looking to take ownership of an established market. You will join a highly successful, high-performing team, with an established client base and significant scope for further growth.
The opportunity
Our Private Practice team is one of our core divisions and has an excellent reputation across the legal market.
You will be working with law firms ranging from major international brands through to boutique commercial firms and high street practices, giving you a broad and varied client base to work with.
The role will focus on the attraction and placement of legal professionals, including Solicitors and Partners, across the Private Practice market and across a wide range of practice areas.
You don't need to be an expert in every area from day one. We will tailor the role around your existing experience, strengths and interests, while giving you the training and support to develop your market knowledge.
We're particularly interested in recruiters with experience in:
- Legal recruitment; or
- Another professional-sector recruitment environment where you have developed strong relationship-building, business development and candidate management skills.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to build something and take genuine ownership of their desk.
Why join this team?
You'll have a head start.
This isn't a cold start in an untested market. You'll be working in a market where Sacco Mann has been active for many years, with strong relationships and a substantial database of clients and candidates.
You'll have autonomy.
We don't operate a heavily KPI-driven or micromanaged environment. Once you're established, you'll have considerable freedom to manage your clients and candidates in the way that works best for you.
We'll provide the structure, market knowledge, support and guidance you need, but we trust our consultants to develop their own style and take responsibility for their results.
You'll be part of a genuinely collaborative team.
We're a close-knit group and we mean that in practice. We share market intelligence, candidate information, ideas, opportunities and contacts. We cover each other's jobs, help each other solve problems and celebrate each other's successes.
If someone needs help, people step in.
That collaborative approach doesn't just make the team a good place to work – it makes everyone individually better and more successful.
You'll have room to progress.
We believe personal development should never stop. You'll receive comprehensive, bespoke training designed around your experience and development needs.
Career progression is also genuinely open-ended. There are no arbitrary time limits or barriers to progression – advancement is based on ability, performance and delivery.
What are we looking for?
Recruitment is a fast-moving job. You need to be switched on, commercially aware and comfortable assessing situations, solving problems and making decisions throughout the day.
The people who tend to thrive at Sacco Mann are:
- Self-motivated – you enjoy having autonomy and take responsibility for your own success.
- Enthusiastic – you bring energy to your work and enjoy building relationships with people.
- Commercially minded – you understand that great recruitment is about building long-term relationships, not simply filling vacancies.
- Resilient and adaptable – recruitment has its ups and downs, and you need to be able to keep moving forward.
- Collaborative – you're happy to share information, support colleagues and contribute to the wider success of the team.
- Mature and accountable – you don't need someone looking over your shoulder to make things happen.
We work hard, but we don't believe in working silly hours. We want people who are ambitious and committed during the working day, while also recognising that having a life outside work matters. We operate a blended office and home-working model. We genuinely value being together in the office – sharing information, market intelligence, ideas, successes and the occasional recruitment horror story is an important part of how we work. At the same time, we recognise that there are times when working from home gives you the space and focus to really get stuck into your desk.
The rewards
Success should be properly rewarded, and that's something we take seriously.
You'll receive:
- A competitive basic salary, formally reviewed every April.
- An unrivalled commission structure.
- A company quarterly bonus, worth up to £5,000 per person per annum.
- The opportunity to earn additional annual leave, income and vouchers through our reward schemes.
- Private medical insurance.
- Buy & Sell Holiday Scheme.
- A range of additional benefits.
