Litigation Paralegal | Nottingham/Derby | Genuine Scope for Progression
Sacco Mann Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their growing Dispute Resolution team in Nottingham or Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious legal professional to gain broad experience across a mixed litigation caseload, with exposure to civil litigation, debt recovery, and commercial disputes. With strong progression opportunities available, this role would suit someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and busy litigation environment.
The Role
- Managing a varied caseload of litigation matters with appropriate supervision
- Assisting with a broad range of civil litigation issues, including:
- Contractual disputes
- Property and boundary disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Consumer disputes
- Landlord and tenant disputes
- Handling a range of debt recovery matters from initial instruction through to enforcement
- Assisting with commercial disputes, including:
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Breach of contract claims
- Director and business disputes
- Disputes arising from commercial transactions
- Drafting correspondence, statements, applications, and other legal documentation
- Conducting legal research and assisting with case preparation
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and third parties
- Supporting solicitors on more complex and higher-value matters
- Building strong client relationships and providing excellent client service

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of a varied litigation caseload
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Conducting legal research and reviewing evidence
- Assisting with the preparation of cases for hearings and negotiations
- Supporting debt recovery proceedings and enforcement action
- Assisting with commercial and contractual disputes
- Liaising with clients and third parties throughout the lifecycle of matters
- Ensuring files are accurately maintained and deadlines are met
- Supporting solicitors with complex and contentious matters
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and keen to build a long-term career in litigation. You will have:
- Previous experience within a litigation or dispute resolution environment
- Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within civil or commercial litigation is desirable
- Strong interest in developing a career within Litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong legal research and drafting abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Ambition to progress and take on increasing responsibility
