Motor Recoveries Supervisor | Bolton | Hybrid Working
Sacco Mann is working with a highly ranked defendant insurance practice, who are seeking an experienced litigation professional to join their Motor Recoveries team in Bolton as a Technical Supervisor. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about technical excellence, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement across litigation teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all work produced by the recoveries litigation team is of a consistently high technical standard and aligned with internal quality frameworks and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of litigated SCT motor recovery claims.
- Support the development of technical best practice across the team.
- Supervise and mentor file handlers, supporting their progression through competency frameworks.
- Deliver coaching, feedback, and training to enhance technical capability and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with team leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure KPIs, SLAs, and client expectations are consistently met.
- Identify training needs and contribute to the design and delivery of training programmes.
- Monitor workflows and processes, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer (or equivalent experience considered).
- Strong background in motor recoveries litigation (defendant or claimant).
- Proven experience managing your own caseload.
- Solid understanding of the end-to-end claims and litigation process.
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or training others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and perform under pressure.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and confident in driving change.
