NQ Commercial Litigation Solicitor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join the Birmingham office of a leading international law firm.
The team handles a broad range of complex commercial disputes for major businesses and organisations, giving you the opportunity to work on high-quality matters alongside experienced litigators. You’ll gain exposure to a varied caseload while developing your technical skills and client relationships within a supportive international practice.
This is a great opportunity for an NQ solicitor looking to build a long-term career in Commercial Litigation and gain experience on significant and interesting disputes.
The Work will include:
- Assisting with a broad range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters.
- Supporting on complex and high-value commercial disputes.
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, witness statements and other litigation documents.
- Carrying out legal research and analysing complex factual and legal issues.
- Assisting with cases from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Supporting senior lawyers with hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations.
- Working with clients, counsel and other professional advisers.
- Managing your own areas of responsibility within larger matters.
- Developing strong client relationships and providing clear, practical advice.
- Keeping up to date with developments in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- Newly Qualified status with relevant Commercial Litigation experience during your training contract.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in commercial disputes.
- Strong academic and technical skills.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and research abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- A commercial and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence working as part of a team and with clients.
