An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified Commercial Solicitor to join a small, well-established law firm in Birmingham.

This is an ideal role for an NQ looking for genuine responsibility, strong client contact and the opportunity to develop their commercial law career within a close-knit team. You’ll work alongside experienced solicitors and partners, advising a varied client base across a broad range of commercial matters.

With a smaller team, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in interesting work from an early stage, develop your technical skills and build lasting relationships with clients.

The Work will include:

  • Advising businesses on a range of commercial and contractual matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Advising on terms and conditions, supply agreements, service agreements and other business contracts.
  • Supporting clients with commercial arrangements and general day-to-day legal queries.
  • Working closely with senior solicitors and partners on more complex matters.
  • Developing an understanding of clients’ businesses and providing practical, commercially focused advice.
  • Managing your own matters as your experience develops.
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.

About You

We’re looking for an NQ solicitor with:

  • Training and qualification experience in Commercial Law.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in working with businesses and advising on commercial issues.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • A practical and commercially minded approach.
  • The confidence to deal directly with clients and build strong working relationships.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude.
  • Ambition to develop within a smaller, supportive firm.
