An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE) to join the team of a highly regarded regional law firm in Shropshire.

This is a great opportunity for a junior employment lawyer looking to develop their career in a supportive and well-established practice. You’ll advise a strong portfolio of employer clients, gaining exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while working alongside experienced lawyers.

The firm has an excellent reputation across the region and is known for its strong client relationships, practical approach and collegiate culture.

The Role

You’ll advise employer clients on a varied caseload, including:

  • Employment Tribunal claims and contentious employment matters
  • Disciplinary, grievance and performance issues
  • Redundancies, restructures and TUPE
  • Drafting and advising on contracts, policies and settlement agreements
  • Day-to-day employment advice and HR support
  • Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters
  • Developing strong, long-term client relationships

You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own matters from an early stage, with appropriate support and supervision as you develop.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • NQ–3 years’ PQE in Employment Law
  • Training or experience advising employer clients
  • Good technical and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and client care abilities
  • Commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and enthusiasm to develop your career
