NQ Employment Solicitor | Regional Firm | Growing Practice | Hybrid
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor to join a well-established regional law firm in Birmingham.
The team advises a varied client base of employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You’ll have the opportunity to build your experience across a broad range of employment work, with support from experienced colleagues and plenty of scope to develop your career.
This is a great opportunity for an NQ solicitor looking to establish themselves within a supportive Employment team and gain genuine client exposure from an early stage.
The Work will include:
- Advising employer clients on day-to-day employment matters.
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal claims and disputes.
- Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Supporting clients with redundancies, restructures and TUPE.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements.
- Providing practical advice on general employment issues.
- Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters.
- Liaising directly with clients and developing strong working relationships.
- Keeping up to date with developments in employment law.
- Managing your workload and meeting deadlines.
- Supporting business development and client relationship initiatives.
About You
We’re looking for a solicitor with:
- Newly Qualified status with experience in Employment Law during your training contract.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in Employment Law.
- Good technical, drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A client-focused and approachable manner.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A practical and commercial approach to legal advice.
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
- A collaborative approach to working within a team.
