About the role
In this varied role as a Patent Paralegal / PA, you will support the Managing Partner with a broad range of administrative and technical tasks, including:
- Preparing patent, design, and trademark documentation for filings internationally
- Monitoring deadlines and managing case records efficiently
- Liaising with clients, overseas agents, and IP offices
- Drafting correspondence, reports, and invoices
- Managing diary and travel arrangements for busy attorneys
- Contributing to the smooth running of the department through ad hoc administrative tasks
This role offers substantial scope to develop your skills in a professional setting, with support for further certifications and ongoing learning.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience in an IP, legal, or professional services environment is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A personable, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when required
- Willingness to learn new systems, such as Inprotech, and procedures
