Joining the Birmingham office of a leading national law firm, you'll become part of an established and highly regarded Pensions team advising an impressive client base on a broad range of advisory, transactional and regulatory matters. The role

You'll advise on a broad range of pensions matters, including scheme governance, regulatory issues, benefit design, liability management projects, corporate transactions, pensions disputes and day-to-day advisory work.

Working alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers, you'll manage your own varied caseload while also supporting on larger, more complex matters for major national clients.

The role also offers the opportunity to build long-term client relationships, supervise junior lawyers where appropriate and become involved in business development activities as the team continues to grow.

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years' PQE with strong pensions experience gained at a recognised UK law firm
  • Experience advising trustees, employers or corporate clients on a broad range of pensions matters
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent drafting skills
  • Commercial awareness with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively within a wider team
  • An interest in business development and helping to grow an established practice
