We’re working with a well-regarded law firm looking to recruit a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor to join its team in Newcastle. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload, handle a range of litigated and pre-litigation claims and build on your experience within an established personal injury team.
What will you be doing?
You’ll manage your own caseload of employer’s liability, public liability and RTA claims, predominantly within the fast-track and intermediate-track processes. Your work will include investigating liability, assessing quantum, reviewing medical and other expert evidence, preparing Schedules of Loss and dealing with court hearings and applications.
You’ll also work with case managers where needed, support multi-track matters and build relationships with clients and external contacts to help develop the team’s presence in the market.
Is this the right fit for you?
The firm is looking for a Solicitor with 3–6 years’ PQE and experience handling claimant personal injury litigation. You’ll need a strong understanding of the CPR, confidence dealing with complex quantum issues and the ability to manage client expectations while keeping cases progressing. Good communication skills, a proactive approach and an interest in building professional relationships are also important.
