Planning Solicitor | Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes| 1-6 PQE
Sacco Mann are working with a respected and progressive law firm seeking an ambitious Planning Solicitor to join their rapidly growing team across multiple office locations including Leicester, Northampton and Milton Keynes.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Planning Solicitors to join a highly regarded and expanding team working on a broad range of planning matters.
You will advise a diverse client base including national house builders, regional developers, landowners, promoters, and public sector organisations on projects spanning residential and commercial development, retail, agriculture, and renewable energy schemes.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of planning and associated legal matters
- Managing client relationships from instruction through to billing and completion
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation including development agreements and court proceedings
- Preparing and negotiating section 106 agreements and infrastructure agreements
- Managing planning matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Ensuring compliance with file management, legislative, and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with Senior Associates and Partners on complex matters
- Supporting and collaborating with colleagues across the wider team
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially aware, and eager to develop within a highly regarded planning team. You will have:
- Between 1–6 years PQE within planning law
- Strong working knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and associated legislation
- Experience drafting advice on planning matters
- Experience with section 106 agreements and infrastructure agreements
- Knowledge of enforcement matters, CLEUDs, and CLOPUDs
- Excellent organisational, communication, and client management skills
- A collaborative and personable approach with strong attention to detail
The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Experience instructing Counsel and handling planning appeals or judicial review matters
- Knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment and Appropriate Assessment
- Exposure to Development Consent Orders and Compulsory Purchase matters
- Experience delivering presentations or supervising junior team members
