Private Client Solicitor | Newcastle | Hybrid Working| Quality High-Net-Worth Client Base
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Private Client Solicitor (2–6 years' PQE) to join a highly regarded and ambitious law firm with an exceptional reputation in private wealth matters.
The firm advises an established high-net-worth client base, including business owners, entrepreneurs, trustees and multi-generational families, on a broad range of sophisticated estate planning, succession and wealth planning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to accelerate their career through exposure to first-class work, a genuinely supportive team culture and clear progression opportunities. You will work closely with experienced Partners on complex and high-value matters while managing your own varied caseload and developing your own client relationships.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of private client matters, including:
- Drafting bespoke Wills, including complex trust structures and succession planning arrangements
- Advising on inheritance tax planning, wealth preservation and estate planning strategies
- Business succession planning for entrepreneurs and family businesses
- Advising on cross-border estate planning and international succession matters
- Creating, restructuring and administering Trusts, together with ongoing trustee advisory work
- Advising on and administering high-value estates, including those containing business interests and overseas assets
- Preparing Deeds of Variation and advising beneficiaries on succession planning matters
- Taking instructions and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Liaising with accountants, tax advisers, investment managers and financial planners
- Managing HMRC compliance matters alongside external advisers
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development
About You
Applications are welcomed from solicitors with:
- 2–6 years' PQE within Private Client
- Ideally experience of advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners
- Strong technical knowledge across Wills, Trusts, estate planning and estate administration
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to explain complex legal and tax matters clearly and pragmatically
- STEP qualification, or progress towards STEP, would be advantageous but not essential.
