Private Client| 2-5yrs PQE | Newcastle upon Tyne | Hybrid | £50k-£65k
An established and highly regarded law firm in Newcastle is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its highly rated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident private client lawyer who enjoys building long-term client relationships and wants genuine scope to shape a role, develop work and progress within a supportive, ambitious office.
The role
You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Trusts and personal tax planning
- Some Court of Protection/capacity work
The team acts for a broad client base, from individuals and families to business owners requiring more complex personal planning. Much of the work comes through repeat instructions and trusted professional referrals, offering a strong platform on which to build further relationships.
About you
You will be a qualified Solicitor with solid private client experience and the confidence to run matters with a high degree of autonomy. You will ideally have:
- 2-5 yrs PQE
- Strong experience across wills, probate and LPAs
- The ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- A personable, professional and client-focused approach
- Commercial awareness and an appetite for business development
- STEP membership, or an interest in working towards it, would be advantageous
The firm is open-minded about background and career route, and would welcome applications from lawyers who have developed relevant private client experience after qualifying in another area.
