Private Client Solicitor | Head of Department | Newcastle
Sacco Mann is delighted to be working with a highly regarded North East law firm which is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to take the lead on its established team in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Private Client lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career and move into a Head of Department position. There is also a genuine opportunity to apply for Partnership after 12 months, making this a role with clear long-term progression for the right person.

The Role
You will join an established and successful Private Client team with a strong existing client base and a healthy pipeline of work. Alongside managing your own caseload, you will take responsibility for the development and day-to-day management of the department.
Your caseload will cover a broad range of Private Client matters, including:
- Wills and Probate
- Estate Planning
- Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection work
- Trusts
You will also play a key role in developing the team, including staff development, supervision, training and identifying opportunities to grow the department and its client base.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced Private Client Solicitor who is confident managing a varied caseload and is ready to take on greater responsibility.
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 7 years' PQE
- Strong experience across a broad range of Private Client matters
- Previous experience supervising or managing more junior lawyers
- Strong technical knowledge and the confidence to provide support to colleagues
- Good leadership and people management skills
- The ability and desire to develop existing client relationships and generate new business
