The team is involved in a broad range of work, from site acquisitions and strategic land transactions through to development agreements and large-scale regeneration schemes.

The Work

  • Advising national and regional housebuilders, developers, landowners, and promoters on residential development matters.
  • Leading on strategic land acquisitions, conditional contracts, option agreements, promotion agreements, and development agreements.
  • Managing complex site acquisitions and disposals for residential-led schemes.
  • Advising on infrastructure arrangements, collaboration agreements, and regeneration projects.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while acting as a trusted commercial adviser.
  • Working closely with colleagues across planning, construction, corporate, banking, and other specialist teams.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
  • Playing an active role in business development, networking, and client relationship management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced Real Estate lawyer with significant expertise in Residential Development work.
  • Proven ability to manage complex transactions and provide commercially focused advice.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Existing connections within the residential development market would be advantageous.
  • A collaborative leadership style and a commitment to developing junior talent.
  • Commercially minded with the ambition to contribute to the continued growth of a successful national practice.
  • Existing partner-level experience is welcomed, although senior lawyers seeking a realistic and supported route to partnership will also be considered.
