The role
You’ll be joining a specialist real estate development team, focusing on large-scale commercial and mixed-use development projects. The work is complex, often involving multi-phase schemes, joint ventures, and strategic land arrangements.
Your responsibilities will include advising on development agreements, options, conditional contracts, promotion agreements, and site assembly matters, as well as supporting on acquisitions and disposals linked to development projects.
You’ll work closely with a leading Partner while also taking ownership of your own matters, advising clients directly on strategy, risk, and commercial outcomes. There will also be opportunities to supervise junior lawyers and play a key role in the continued growth of the team.
What they’re looking for
- 4+ PQE with strong real estate experience
- Exposure to commercial or residential development work
- Experience within a recognised real estate team
- Strong technical knowledge across development transactions
- Ability to manage transactions and advise clients with increasing autonomy
- Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and interest in client development
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members (desirable)
