Role Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of complex contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Provide commercially focused advice to employer clients across a broad range of employment issues.
- Advise on disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancies, restructures, TUPE, whistleblowing and discrimination.
- Handle employment tribunal claims from initial advice through to resolution and, where appropriate, advocacy.
- Draft and advise on employment contracts, senior executive agreements, settlement agreements, policies and restrictive covenants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted adviser to HR teams, senior management and in-house legal teams.
- Take an active role in business development, networking and identifying opportunities to develop existing and new client relationships.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to their professional development.
- Contribute to the wider strategic development and growth of the Employment team.
- Keep aware of legislative and case law developments, sharing knowledge and insights with clients and colleagues.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Solicitor with demonstrable experience in employment law
- Strong corporate and client-facing skills
- A proactive approach to case management and client development
- Ambitious with a desire to progress within a leading firm
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
