About the Role
As a Senior Family Solicitor specialising in Childcare, you will manage a varied and complex caseload, including:
- Private and Public Law Childcare matters
- Complex care proceedings and Children Act matters
- Representing clients throughout Court proceedings
- Conducting advocacy and instructing Counsel where appropriate
- Providing high-quality legal advice and supporting clients through often complex and sensitive matters
- Managing your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting junior members of the team and sharing your knowledge and experience
- Contributing to the continued development and growth of the Family department

The Ideal Candidate
- 7+ years’ PQE with significant experience specialising in Childcare law
- Strong experience handling a complex and varied caseload independently
- Excellent knowledge of Public and Private Law Childcare proceedings
- Strong advocacy and Court experience
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior colleagues
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- A genuine interest in contributing to the wider development of the department
