A leading full-service law firm with a strong regional presence is seeking an experienced Senior Intellectual Property Solicitor to join its well-established, collaborative and highly regarded IP team.

The Opportunity

You will join a specialist Intellectual Property team of Solicitors and Attorneys advising on a broad range of IP matters across the full lifecycle of Trade Mark rights. The team delivers an integrated service spanning both contentious and non-contentious work, supporting a diverse client base from start-ups through to multinational organisations. There is a great variety of clients available here across varying sectors and so those who enjoy their days being different will do well here!

Key areas of work include:

  • Brand protection, including trade mark and design strategy
  • IP portfolio management and registration (UK and international)
  • Commercialisation and exploitation of IP rights
  • Disputes, enforcement, and litigation
  • Advisory work across copyright, defamation, database rights and trade secrets

About You

  • Qualified Senior Intellectual Property Solicitor
  • Strong technical Soft IP/Trade Mark expertise across both contentious and non-contentious IP matters
  • Experience advising on trade marks, designs, copyright, and related rights
  • Familiarity with UK and international IP offices (e.g. UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO)
  • Litigation experience will be considered advantageous
  • Commercially minded with excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and contribute to business development
  • A collaborative individual with an interest in training and development responsibilities
