Sacco Mann are working exclusively with a hugely impressive firm who have a fresh and exciting opportunity for a Trade Mark Attorney to join its London-based team.
This is an excellent role for someone who wants variety in their everyday. You’ll become an integral part of a broad IP offering, working with specialists across trade marks, designs, copyright, patents, technology and litigation. This would ideally suit a Trade Mark Attorney who is looking for something a little different... this is not your conventional Attorney firm, this is a growing full service team with a dynamic and forward thinking IP offering that requires an Attorney who's willing to 'roll their sleeves up' and get involved in the full gamut of IP protection for their clients.
The opportunity
You’ll advise a diverse client base on the protection, development and enforcement of valuable brands, working across both UK and international matters.
Your work will encompass a broad range of trade mark issues, including:
- Managing and developing substantial trade mark portfolios
- Advising on brand protection and clearance strategies
- Handling prosecution and occasional general portfolio administration including filing and renewals where necessary
- Advising on contentious matters, including oppositions and cancellations
- Supporting enforcement and anti-counterfeiting strategies
- Working on domain name, copyright and design matters where relevant
- Drafting and negotiating commercial IP agreements
- Providing commercially focused advice around the exploitation and licensing of brands
- Supporting clients with portfolio reviews, audits and strategic projects
You’ll also have the opportunity to become increasingly involved in client development and business generation, contributing to pitches and presentations, while developing your own profile within the market.
About you
We’re keen to hear from qualified Trade Mark Attorneys with a strong grounding in UK, European and international trade mark practice.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Solid experience across both contentious and non-contentious trade mark work
- Portfolio management and prosecution experience
- Excellent commercial judgement and an ability to understand clients’ wider business objectives
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and managing relationships
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working across different areas of IP
- An interest in developing business and building your professional profile
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
