Trade Mark Attorney, Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

 

An established and internationally recognised intellectual property firm is seeking a qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join its team on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

The firm has a strong global client base, advising organisations ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations across a wide range of industries, including technology, engineering, life sciences and consumer brands. The team offers a full-service IP practice, including trade mark prosecution, portfolio management, oppositions and dispute support.

The Role
 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for an existing portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality trade mark advice and support. The role involves working both independently and alongside colleagues at various levels, including trainees and associates, with guidance from senior team members.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Managing day-to-day trade mark filing and prosecution work
  • Handling trade mark oppositions
  • Advising clients on brand selection and clearance searches
  • Managing client relationships and budgets
  • Reviewing and advising on watch notices
  • Handling recordals and portfolio maintenance

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Fully qualified Trade Mark Attorney
  • Strong client management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
