International law firm seeks an organised and enthusiastic Trade Mark Paralegal to join their expert Intellectual Property team. This role offers the opportunity to support a busy and growing practice that works with a broad range of clients, from start-up businesses to globally recognised brands.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for intellectual property, and take pride in delivering exceptional service, we'd love to hear from you.

The opportunity

As a valued member of the team, as Trade Mark Paralegal, you'll play a vital role in the administration of trade mark and design portfolios. Working closely with lawyers, trade mark attorneys and colleagues across the wider team, you'll ensure that applications, registrations and portfolio records are managed efficiently and accurately.

No two days are the same. You'll be involved in a wide variety of registry activities, helping to deliver a seamless service while contributing ideas to improve the way we work.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll:

  • Manage the preparation and submission of trade mark and design applications across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and file official forms relating to portfolio management, ownership changes, oppositions and other registry procedures.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure all actions are completed within the required timescales.
  • Process official communications from intellectual property offices and update internal systems accurately.
  • Coordinate renewal programmes and communicate upcoming renewal requirements to clients.
  • Produce portfolio summaries, schedules and filing information for clients and colleagues.
  • Prepare estimates for filing and prosecution work.
  • Support the transfer and integration of new client portfolios into our systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of overseas associates and client information.
  • Keep informed of developments in trade mark and design practice to ensure work is completed in line with current requirements.
  • Contribute to projects focused on improving processes, systems and overall client experience.

About you

A CITMA Paralegal qualification would be an advantage, although it isn't essential for the right candidate.

You'll ideally bring:

  • At least two years' experience supporting trade mark or intellectual property work within a legal or specialist IP environment.
  • A sound understanding of trade mark and design formalities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistently accurate work.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to embrace new technology and improved ways of working.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Why join us?

You'll benefit from:

  • A varied workload supporting an impressive portfolio of domestic and international clients.
  • Opportunities to broaden your technical expertise and develop your career.
  • A supportive team that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Exposure to innovative projects aimed at enhancing client service and operational efficiency.
