This is an excellent and rare opportunity to join an established and highly respected specialist intellectual property practice. We are keen to speak with ambitious and driven Senior Trade Mark Attorneys seeking that significant, career defining move, to play a pivotal role in the next phase of our clients’ Trade Mark growth.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Trade Mark practitioner with the drive and commercial acumen to develop work and in turn expand a thriving Trade Mark practice. Whether this is through an established client following (we acknowledge that there is likely to be a restriction or covenant in place) or a demonstrable track record of winning, growing and retaining work, the successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the continued expansion of the firm's trade mark offering.
Ideally you will be London based however those who are based regionally are warmly welcomed to apply.
Our client advises a diverse portfolio of Trade Mark clients, from emerging businesses and innovative companies to established international brands, providing strategic advice across the full lifecycle of trade mark protection. The team is recognised for delivering commercially focused solutions across portfolio management, clearance, prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings, enforcement, licensing and wider brand strategy.
The incoming Partner will enjoy considerable autonomy to shape and grow their own practice, supported by an experienced team of Attorneys and a collaborative Partnership committed to investing in long-term professional growth. Applications are welcomed from experienced Trade Mark Attorney candidates with either an existing following of work or those who can demonstrate a sustained record of generating new instructions, cultivating long-term client relationships and building a successful portfolio of clients. The ability to identify opportunities, convert prospects into clients and develop long-standing business relationships is just as important as technical excellence.

The successful candidate will have:
- Qualification as a Chartered UK Trade Mark Attorney.
- Significant experience advising on complex UK, European and international trade mark matters.
- A proven ability to generate work through personal relationships, referrals, networking and business development activity. This will be a focal point of the recruitment process.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to act as a trusted adviser to international and high-profile clients.
- A collaborative approach with a willingness to mentor colleagues and contribute to the wider success of the partnership.
- Those who have an existing ‘book of work’ to bring will be considered advantageous however this is not a pre-requisite. Please note that this role is heavily focused on business development and so you must be willing to discuss your experience in handling such matters throughout the recruitment process.
