The Opportunity

A leading national IP firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Administrator to join its busy and dynamic Trade Marks practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality operational and administrative support to a Trade Mark Partner, working closely with them to manage their workload and help ensure the smooth and efficient running of their practice.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Trade Marks or IP environment who can work autonomously, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and take a proactive approach. You will be trusted to anticipate upcoming deadlines and reminders, prepare correspondence and documents, and build effective relationships with clients, attorneys and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the Partner's inbox and correspondence.
  • Organising fee earner workloads, including monitoring deadlines and reminders.
  • Preparing correspondence, including standard letters and client communications.
  • Typing from audio and copy.
  • Preparing, editing and finalising documents.
  • Managing client billing and e-billing processes.
  • Updating and maintaining the firm's document management system.
  • Liaising professionally with clients, attorneys and other stakeholders.
  • Retrieving watch notices from the relevant platform and sending these to clients.
  • Proactively anticipating upcoming deadlines and taking appropriate action.
  • Providing general administrative and operational support to the Trade Mark Partner and wider team.

 

About You

We are looking for an individual who is organised, proactive and confident working independently within a busy professional environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Trade Marks, IP, legal or professional services environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach, with the confidence to anticipate requirements and take initiative.
  • The ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively as part of a team.
  • Strong client-service skills and a professional manner.
  • Experience with Inprotech would be an advantage.
