The Manchester office at Sacco Mann have been bouncing around on the run up to the Easter bank holiday raising money for our amazing chosen charity, Francis House.
Francis House provides a home away from home where families can receive professional care, support and friendship for those with children diagnosed as having a life threatening or life limiting conditions. We have a lot of eggsciting charity events planned to continue in our support of Francis House, however, our first one of the year was to support their brilliant Easter Chick Appeal.
Following their hugely successful appeal in 2016 where they raised over £27,000, Francis House were looking for as many chicks to be knitted as possible and crème egg sized eggs to fill the chicks to sell in order to raise funds. We are eggstremely pleased to say we managed to raise a cracking £332 to be donated as well as gathering over 532 eggs from our very generous clients. We even had some Sacco Mann knitters – who knew we were such a multi-talented bunch?!
When hosting our last HR Forum at Eversheds Sutherland in Manchester, Rachel from Francis House kindly attended to give an overview of the amazing work the charity do and showed an extremely moving video to show what a difference the money raised can do.
On behalf of the whole of the Manchester office at Sacco Mann we would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all the firms that kindly donated eggs including; Laytons, Stephensons, Davis Blank Furniss, MJW, Clyde & Co - to name just a few! We would also like to say a huge thank you to Horwich Cohen Coghlan who know of the fabulous work Francis House do and bought a colossal 300 chicks.
It’s always brilliant being part of such a worthwhile appeal and seeing how keen to get involved our whole office and clients were, it’s been nothing short of eggseptional!
We have a lot of other exciting things planned to continue our support of Francis House throughout this year so watch this space…
